TRANSIT OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR- An energetic and customer-service oriented supervisor is sought to direct the daily activities of Jefftran, Jefferson City’s public bus service. Duties including scheduling, supervising and evaluating employees; overseeing routing and dispatching of buses; managing service and safety inspections; enforcing compliance with FTA drug and alcohol regulations; and maintaining the transit Internet page. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and five years’ experience in the operation of a municipal bus system or other customer service oriented business operation; supervisory experience; and proficiency in computer operations. Must be able to communicate clearly; sit for extended periods; work in extreme weather conditions; aid disabled passengers on and off wheelchair lift and tie down position; complete training courses; and obtain a Missouri Class B CDL with passenger and airbrake endorsement within 30 days of employment (training provided). Monthly salary is $3,313-$4,970, plus excellent employee benefits. This position has an excellent opportunity for future advancement potential within the City’s transit division.
